Experience
Manvel Harutyunyan is the Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Tajikistan. He undertakes the general management and administration of the company.
His professional career with Grant Thornton commenced in 1999. Manvel has carried out the management, planning and coordination of numerous audit assignments, through his strong leadership, analytical, strategic decision-making, data processing and communicative skills.
Manvel coordinates numerous missions, including financial and economic analysis, audit and accounting, financial management consulting, specialist advisory for international finance/lending institutions and international organizations, governmental agencies, public sector, banks, top-level state-owned and private enterprises in Tajikistan and other Central Asian countries.

Manvel possesses more than 19 years of experience in the sphere of audit and accounting. During his career, he has obtained strong professional experience in audit and accounting missions for financial institutions, projects and entities funded by international organizations, such as the World Bank, KfW, EBRD, USAID.
Manvel is a Certified Auditor recognized by National Bank of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan, as well as Certified Valuator of Tajikistan and Certified Auditor of Kyrgyzstan. He has profound knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Moreover, Manvel led and continues leading diverse Corporate Development Programmes in Tajikistan, having significant contributions to each segment of the project.
Qualifications
Manvel holds MA in Economics from Yerevan Grigor Zohrap University and possesses diploma in Civil Management from University of Twente (UT), The Netherlands.
